As giant stars pour from the artificial wormholes that humans and two other races use, war is threatened and dark matter creatures are encountered.

This looks like the author's attempt at showing off his personal physics theories. The book seemed to have no real other point. But it was not really bad, either, just rather dull. There seemed to be too much going on all the time, and some rather strange generalizations made by the characters.
